Happy First Birthday G!

Over the last year, while on Mat leave, I've met some really great people. I joined a network of moms called Momstown. I've enjoyed the events and getting to meet other moms who were in the same place as I was with the Lil' Cupcake.

Quiet a few of my new "mom" friends little ones are all turning one and I was delighted that L had asked me to provide a cake and cupcakes for G's first birthday.

So happy first birthday G! Also known as Cupcake's boyfriend.

For his birthday we created vanilla cupcakes with green and yellow frosting, for his smash cake we made a vanilla cake with strawberry preserve and fresh strawberries. Yummy. He even thought so when he destroyed his cake. Haha. Loved seeing the photos of him destroying it.

We also created a little lion for the top of his cake because he loves lions. Happy Birthday again G. I can't wait to see what you do next.

G's mom took advantage of Toot Sweet Cupcakes 1st birthday special. Contact us today, so your little one can have fun smashing a birthday cake.

Toot Sweet Cupcakes also creates simple 6 inch cake smash cakes for one year photos. If your interested in having 1 year photos done contact us today and we can create a special cake for the photos.

Happy 1st Safari Birthday

Today, Toot Sweet Cupcakes had the pleasure of being a part of a very special occasion, a 1st birthday. The theme of the party was fun-filled and bright safari. We were asked to create a special two tiered chocolate cake with raspberry and strawberry filling. Yum! This is what we created:

The characters are handcrafted by moi, from a gumpaste/fondant mix. I especially love the hippo. So sweet looking.

One weekend in February

Woo, what a busy weekend February 11 - 13th was. I had to create a baby shower cake and 1st birthday cake. Here are the creations:

Baby girl shower cake. This cake was a yummy red velvet cake. Red velvet seems to be very popular. My client tells me that the guest of honour loved the cake and actually cried when she saw the cake. *Tear* I love hearing stories like that - I am sure that hormones, may have had something to do with it as well. So, here is her baby shower cake.

The 1st Birthday cake, for a family friends little guy. I grew up with A's mom and I was so happy and honoured to make his first birthday cake for his Mickey Mouse birthday. For A, I made a completely vegan chocolate 1st birthday cake. No eggs, dairy, animal by-products of any kind, it was an allergy free cake. And it was so YUMMY and Moist.

The Mickey Mouse hat with ears was made from Fondant and Gumpaste, with A's name written on just like they do in Disneyland, and World.

The cupcakes behind are a moist chocolate cake with buttercream icing. These were not vegan, but still yummy.
